Abyssinian cats are extroverted, stubborn and intelligent. They are not very intrusive, but have a special way of doing things to make their intentions clear to the owner. Abyssinians are not noisy. They are real personalities with their own strong character. They need a lot of contact with family members to get comfortable. They get along well with other cats and they can even make friendships for life with dogs. The Abyssinian needs space.
The fur is fairly short, fine and silky of structure and lies close against the body. The Abyssinian exists in the colours: wild colour, ruddy, sorrel, blue, fawn, turtle, red and cream
